Pairing TAT140 + BTSMP1 for shipping containers tracking

I’m assessing the use of some Eye Sensor and tracker devices to track and monitor temperature and humidity of shipping containers. In particular I’m considering the TAT140 and the BTSMP1, but I could consider the use of another model is it’s better suited to my use case.
Basically I want to monitor the location, temperature and humidity of the containers wherever they might be, and be able to visualize the data in a dashboard accessible to me and my customer.
Is this combination (one eye sensor + tracker combo per container) good enough for my application?
Can I access and display the information so my customer and any other stakeholder can visualize it? maybe through an API or the aws iot solution?
Also, are there any other resource or guide that show the configuration process for this application?
I have read mainly these two guides, I’d appreciate if any other guide could be suggested.

Hello @fbrubeck,

I hope you are doing well. TAT140 is best suited if the container that you want to track has no external power source included, and minimal data is required on your platform (3 Pings/day).

Otherwise, it would be good to use FMX devices which has a rechargeable battery, which could provide more data pings but require an External Power source.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

hi @Patrick_Sangalang, thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your advice on the tracker.

And about my other questions, would I be receiving the data from the sensor throught the tracker or would I need another conection?
Is there a way to send the data to a dashboard that somebody else external to my company is allowed to see?

Best regards,
Felipe B.

Hello @fbrubeck,

Yes, the device would be able to send the sensor values given that you have configured it properly and records would be added from the normal GPS records of the device.

If you want to send these data to a dashboard from someone else it could be possible but you need to coordinate with your platform provider.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Patrick S.
