Dear Teltonika Support,
I am contacting you regarding the retrieval of fuel level data from Iveco buses.
We currently have requests concerning the transmission of fuel level information from these buses. We are considering using the FMC650 connected to the vehicle’s FMS interface.
Before proceeding with the installations, we would like to know if there is a way to check in advance whether the FMC650 can retrieve and transmit the fuel level data through the vehicle’s CAN/FMS interface.
For devices such as the FMB140 and FMX150, there is a platform that allows us to check whether a specific vehicle is compatible with the available CAN data. We would like to know if there is a similar platform or tool for the FMC650, particularly to verify whether the fuel level data is available on Iveco buses.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and recommendations.
Best regards, AKOMABOU Koffi
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
As you may know, we do not have a vehicle-supported list specifically for the FMC650, as it works with the CAN/FMS interface and supports the default J1939 protocol.
I can see that the manufacturers listed below are supported. However, I would still recommend confirming the CAN/FMS compatibility and J1939 support with the vehicle manufacturer once to ensure the required data will be available.
The FMS interface is an optional interface for different truck manufacturers. Supported information is dependent upon vehicle equipment. For the full information set, additional Electronic Control Units (ECU) may be required. Please contact the manufacturer or your dealer for more details.
Vehicle brands supported:
• Mercedes Benz
• Volvo
• MAN
• DAF
• Iveco
• Scania
• Renault
