OBD tracker for personal car

I want to buy a Teltonika tracker for my personal car and report it to my self hosted Traccar platform, however I am unsure which model is best for my application.

Other than connectivity the FMB003 and FMC003, etc all look to have the same specifications according to the catalogue, am I missing something?

The FMB003 seems to be very popular and therefore I am curios to know why you would opt for the other models instead. Do they have additional features, i.e. more ODB data?

After a bit more research I’ve concluded that since 2G is being phased out by 2033, either the FMC or FMM models could be the best options. It seems that the FMM option isn’t stocked by most retailers so it leaves FMC003 as the only option. Do you agree?

FMB003 - 2G service to be discontinued by 2033
FMC003 - 4G LTE (CAT1), best global coverage with 2/3G fallback, more bandwidth
FMM003 - 4G LTE (CAT M1), NB-IoT, 2G fallback, future replacement of 2G GSM

Hi @tshirt

Yes, correct better to choose FMC003 to have a more future proof device, FMC003 and FMB003 doesn’t have any different only the network connectivity.
