Need support to use FMB125 as a TCP → RS485 controller

Need support to use FMB125 as a TCP → RS485 controller: from server send commands (restart/reset, timing change, limit-switch timing) to an RS485 device through FMB125, using RS485 TCP/UDP ASCII mode with CMD ID 14, and also receive RS485 responses back on the server.

Device is connected to the server over TCP and sends AVL data, but after sending Codec12 commands (packed as in Teltonika’s TCP link mode example), no RS485 response/effect is observed—please confirm the correct configuration/requirements (baud/parity, CRLF/EOL behavior, and expected Codec12 “type” when CMD ID overrides)

Hi Team,
I am using Teltonika FMB125 with an RS485 device. I can receive AVL/data from the FMB125 and I can also see RS485 data coming, but I cannot send commands from my server to RS485 (example: reset/restart, change time, limit-switch timing).

My device is connected to the server over TCP. I am sending Codec12 commands (as per TCP link mode format), and RS485 is configured in TCP/UDP ASCII mode with CMD ID 14, but there is no response/effect on the RS485 device and no RS485 reply comes back to the server.

Please share an example( config-file ) request/response packet for RS485 command forwarding via FMB125.
Thanks.

Hello @selva6374

Good day!

There is some calculation for the number of bytes, CRC etc….

I suggest you provide me with the control command that you want to send to the controller, and the controller make acition after receiving it fromthe local application installed on your PC, then I will give you the FULL codec 12 command that you can send to the device.

Find an example here
