My RUTX50 shows no leds

When I last checked my RUTX50 router, it was totally dead. I found out the 12V power supply had went dead, so I connected it to another 12V power supply. Then all leds flashed for ca 10 seconds, then all but the power supply led turned off. So no internet connection, no WiFi, no indication of a SIM card. What could be the problem?

Based on what you described, it seems like your power supply died in a way that caused your RUTX50 to die as well. Probably due to a thunder strike or very unstable power in your area. You can try and perform a reset, but i doubt it will help. Your device is probably gone forever. Such severe damage is not covered by warranty if im not mistaken.

That is what I feared, but as the leds flashed in the beginning, I had some hope for the router. One thing, if I managed to switch poles (+ to - and vice versa), how would that show? I looked at the instruction for correct polarity, but it was a bit hard to know wheter the image was of the connector on the router itself or if it was on the plug you put into the router.

I would expect this device to have some sort of protection against reverse polarity. If not, then you probably killed it when you attached new power supply. Lets just wait for someone from Teltonika to confirm if they have protection.
