Multiple Responses Issue When Sending SMS Commands to FMC 125 GPS Device

Hello everyone,

I’d like to share an issue I’ve been experiencing when sending SMS commands to an FMC 125 GPS device. I’ve noticed that upon sending a specific command, I receive multiple responses from the device instead of just one.

This situation occurs consistently, even when sending different commands at different times. For instance, if I send a command in the morning and another one in the afternoon, I still receive multiple responses for both commands.

I’ve attempted to address this issue by using the cpureset and deleterecords commands, but the multiple responses persist.

I’m keen to know if anyone else has encountered this problem and if there’s a known solution to prevent these multiple responses. Any suggestions or advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @ATMSAS

Good day, what is the firmware version of your device?
Did you enable the delivery reports from your phone, or you are using an SMS server to send the commands?

Best Regards

Hello Maynard,

Thank you for your response.

The firmware version of my device is 03.27.13 Rev:443.

Regarding the delivery reports, I have not enabled them on my phone, nor am I using an SMS server to send the commands. I send the commands directly from my phone to the GPS device.

I hope this information helps in resolving the issue. Please let me know if there are any further steps I can take to troubleshoot or if you need any additional details.

Best regards,

Hello @ATMSAS

Note: This could be from your SMS server but to confirm kindly collect logs from the device.
