We’ve set up a Teltonika DualCam with its respective FMC125, and it’s working well with the GPS Server platform.
I can see that the images and short video clips are successfully delivered either on demand or when triggered by an event.
As far as I understand, the DualCam has at least 64GB of internal memory and it records continuously while the ignition is ON — this is how it was installed and configured.
My main question is:
Is it possible to remotely retrieve video clips that are already stored in the camera’s local memory, even if they were not recorded as part of a triggered event?
If yes:
Is there a specific command to request those clips?
Do we need to include a timestamp in the request?
Or is there a different process to fetch previously recorded footage from the device?
Based on your explanation and assuming my DualCam device is equipped with a 64 GB MicroSD card, which—if I understand correctly—can store up to 48 hours of video, I’d like to confirm the following:
If I want to retrieve a specific video segment from those previous 48 hours,
And I know the exact date and time of the event I’m interested in,
Can I use the camreq SMS command to request a clip of up to 30 seconds,
Provided that the footage still exists on the SD card?
Just want to make sure I’m interpreting this functionality correctly before running a test.
