Hello
I have a Honda Mapit version M304. I do know you are not Honda company, but I kindly contact you due to I have seen that you are the manufacturer of this device.
I have the following issue:
I do not use the motorbike oftenly, so that it is quite common for the Mapit’s battery to drain.
So that, I have installed a three-way switch (conmutador). According to this switch, the Mapit can be powered too by the bike’s battery whe it is OFF.
When the bike is ON the voltage is 14 Vdc, when it is off the voltage is 12 Vdc. At the Mapit’s case it is indicated the power supply must be 10-30 Vdc.
I have done several tests,… left the Mapit connected to 12Vdc during 10 min, 30 min, 2h, 6h… But the Mapit’s battery never charges.
During this process, always, always the charging voltage is 12 Vdc.
On the other hand, if I drive the bike the Mapit’s battery charges.
When I connect the Mapit to 12 Vdc both leds flash ok. Even after the Mapit is connected to 12 Vdc during 6h, I can shake the Mapit and leds turn ON sending a signal to the App.
I am just wondering that the Mapit just charges when it is detecting movement, other wise there is no explanation to me.
Please, may you kindly help to solve this issue, how could I charge the Mapit when the bike is OFF during long periods of time?
Thank you
Best regards
