Greetings, @Gero,
Welcome to Teltonika Community!
Could you please clarify how you configured the feature that is sending a large number of emails? Was it set up directly in the device settings or through RMS?
Please note that alerts can be configured in both the device settings and RMS.
If the device has a SIM card with SMS service enabled, you can navigate to System → Maintenance → Auto Reboot and adjust the settings so that if the device fails to ping a specified address (for example, 8.8.8.8), it sends an SMS notification to a number you define. You can also customize the SMS message content and configure how frequently the device checks connectivity. For more detailed information, please refer to this wiki article:
Alternatively, using RMS, you can configure alerts or emails to be sent when the device goes offline. To do this, navigate to Alerts and Automations → Actions → Create Automation. There, you can define conditions (such as device uptime) and configure the alert message or email that will be sent when those conditions are met. After creating the automation, make sure to apply it to your device. For more information, please refer to this wiki article:
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Warm regards,
V.
