We have installed the FMC150 on a Volvo FM Mk3 for our client, who operates an entire fleet of Volvo trucks. We are able to retrieve all CAN data except for “Total Fuel Consumed,” which is crucial for our client.
Could you please advise on a solution to obtain the fuel consumption value from the CAN data using the FMC150 or another Teltonika device?

Thank you for your reply, we cannot use the FMC 650 to get that information from FMS interface ? .. i can’t find the supported vehicles list of FMC 650 to check the parameters presence of each truck
You can try to make a POC(proof of concept) , but it still depends on the vehicle year , make and model. We don’t have supported list for FMS because it is using a standard protocol which is j1939 and j1907.
You can ask your sales manager if you want to get an assistance for your testing but take note that it is not 100 sure that we will be able to get the Fuel Consumption data using FMS.
Another option is Manual CAN but you need to get the protocol from the vehicle manufacturer, make sure that the Fuel Consumption data is available from the vehicle CAN protocol: FMM640 Manual CAN IO - Teltonika Telematics Wiki
The data should be parsed manually to your server,
we tested FMB640, from FMS data we cannot see the Total Odometer from FMS interface.. also after checking FMX6XX Sending Data on Wiki Documentation no Total Odometer Parameter from FMS data is available .. is that right ? how we can retreive the total odometer from CAN with FMS data from FMX6XX ?
