Hi there,
I have been trying to update our FTC921 units from the 2.1.4. firmware as it is very buggy.
The Teltonika Website lists the latest firmware being 3.0.7 & 3.0.8
I would roll the firmware back 0.4.0 if it allowed but alas it does not allow it.
(Context one device was on old firmware and tracked perfectly but lacked features, the other two are on 2.1.4 already and have random issues like taking ages to connect to server and not reply to gprs commands etc.
Please help, this is super frustrating that the firmware files aren’t download-able even behind a login wall.
You have to create a ticket and insist on a Teltonika engineer creating an update task for you.
They can only do that if the devices have reported 2.1.4 to FOTA. Otherwise their tooling won’t allow them to create those tasks.
That’s especially annoying if you have 100s of new devices and can only provide power to a limited amount at the same time …
In addition you can be provided the firmware file(s), but the TCT will not allow you to select them. When circumventing that by specifying absolute paths the device refuses to update the firmware.
I have brought forth my criticism about this practice with my sales rep.
Thanks for the reply.
i reached out to the supplier locally they have raised a ticket…
just super frustrating
Great little device tracks well but 2.1.4 has some real dog issues
