FMT100 Special Firmware

Hi, I think I’m in the same position as @sledzik1984 and some others: I have bought a single FMT100, but it appears to have a custom firmware which won’t update using the online version.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to upload the standard firmware to these devices? I have tried to work out what @sledzik1984 meant by below, but have failed so far. (Perhaps I haven’t been able to access the right version of the configurator)

I - as an end user don’t have access to a Sales Manager. I’ve contacted Teltonika by email and only answer that I’ve received was that you can’t help me.

With that policy I should throw good device to trash and buy another.

But I’ve managed to fix it without your help - firstly I’ve downgraded firmware of the device using Telematics Configurator Tool. I was able to configure the device but GNSS module was not woring.

Next thing - I uploaded firmware that was made for other device and it worked. I am able to configure my FMT100’s and have working GNSS.

FMT100’s latest Firmware version could be found through this link provided below, suggesting you to try to update these device to the latest Firmware version either through FOTA Web or if you have physical access to the device, you may directly update it through the micro-USB cable.

I have tried this but it wont work because it has a 'special firmware ’ and when I connect a Micro USB it says 'not supported ’

Is there a special version of the configurator that I can use?

Kindly check if the Firmware version that the device were using are available from the list mentioned on the Configuration versions, if yes you may download the specific Configurator for such versions.

Otherwise, you need to contact your Sales manager so that we can connect with you and provide you the Configurator required for your device.

I don’t have a Sales Manager as I am not a reseller. I have bought this for a charity which needs to connect it to their own tracking database, not somebody elses.
