FMC920 - SIM card problem

HI,

I have FMC920-QJIB0 and it doesnt work with certain SIM Card.

I have two sim cards, one is regullar SIM card that I use for my phone another one is called “Telemetric” which is “special” plan for cheap IoT cards in Polish cellurar operator Play with 20 MB monthly transfer and 100 SMS free of charge. To b e clear both are fro mthe same operator “PLAY ( P4 sp. z o.o. )

Now :

• Both cards work in smartphones,
• My regular sim card works well with FMC920, everything goes smoothly and it is loging to network within seconds,
• My Telemetric card doesnt work.
• Under GSM Status It says signal good, SIM state Ready, but GPRS Status Deactivated and Actual Operator Code 0
•

Can it be something with the frequency bands ? How could i diagnose that ?

Good Day,

First, please check the bandwidth supported by your M2M or Data SIM card provider . It should be 4G with 2G fallback.

Second, verify whether GPRS is active on the SIM card or not.

Third, go to the GPRS tab , navigate to the APN section , and add the manual APN provided by your operator. After adding it, reboot the device and check the connectivity again.

yeah, @Ashutosh.Singh hit it,

first you need to configure the APN correctly, you cn get the APN from the SIM card provider

then, you need to check with the operator if the SIM card is active and cover the bands that our devices use, also you need to confirm that it is working on 4g
