FMC920 Report Buffering

Hi
Another question re configuring FMC920s for small motorboats. We only need to know approximately where they are now, we are not interested in where they have been.

It appears that the device buffers reports if it cannot send them due to no GSM connection. If that is so, is there a way to prevent this because the information is not useful to us.

Or failing that, is there a way to clear the backlog of stored records from several months ago?

Thank you

Hi,

To delete old records of the device you can send the following commands.

  1. deleterecords - delete records from the SD card
  2. sdformat - format the SD card.

To send SMS or GPRS command please follow this link: FMB SMS/GPRS Commands - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS (teltonika-gps.com)

Thanks. I wasn’t aware the FMC920 had an SD card.

But the deleterecords command did the job - fortunately I had a SIM with SMS available.

Shame there isn’t an equivalent command in the Configurator.

Thanks again
