I am working on a project that uses FMC650 trackers, and one of the required features is the GPS Odometer.
In this application, the tracker may lose its external power supply. When the vehicle detects that the main lithium battery has reached a low state of charge, it disconnects all onboard devices to protect the battery.
After external power is disconnected, the FMC650 continues operating from its internal battery for several hours. Once the internal battery is depleted, the tracker switches off completely.
The problem is that, after this complete shutdown, the GPS Odometer value normally lost.
The issue can be reproduced as follows:
Set the odometer to 1,234 km using the odoset command.
Disconnect the external power supply.
-
Wait until the internal battery is fully discharged and the FMC650 switches off.
-
Reconnect the external power supply.
-
After startup, the odometer value is blank .
Is there any way to ensure that the GPS Odometer value is retained regardless of the external and internal battery status?
My current firmware version is 03.01.01.Rev.15. I have already restored the tracker to its default settings, but the issue remains.
I have also included my current odometer configuration settings below.
Thanks for your help
