Hi, our Teltonika FMC 650 devices are currently exhibiting two separate issues that are impacting our operations:
1. Data Acquisition Issue
The device is configured for both Moving and On-Stop profiles with the following settings:
- Min Period: 30 seconds
- Min Saved Records: 1
- Send Period: 20 seconds
Despite these settings, the device does not send data at the expected 20‑second intervals. Instead, records are transmitted in bursts. For example, our server logs show that a batch of data was processed with a timestamp of 04:27:53 and then the next batch was processed at 04:29:49—an interval of nearly 2 minutes. Our database items for timestamps (see attached screenshot) confirm that the records are stored with these delayed timestamps rather than the configured 20‑second period(we are getting time stamp information from the message data).
This indicates that the device is aggregating multiple records and releasing them in delayed bursts instead of adhering to the defined transmission schedule.
2. Intermittent Socket Timeout
Separately, we have observed intermittent socket timeout errors on our server. For example, our logs show:
[ERROR] logger: // Socket timed out. Closing connection with (‘xxx.xx.xxx.xxx’, 28336)
This issue occurs sporadically—sometimes the connection is lost for about one hour, while for the remainder of the day (up to 20–24 hours) the connection remains stable. The socket timeout appears to be unrelated to the data acquisition settings.
Impact on Business:
We have large customers, and these issues are affecting our business significantly. We already tried to reach our sales manager for nearly two weeks with no response. We need to resolve these problems as soon as possible—ensuring that data arrives exactly at the defined intervals and that the connection remains stable throughout the day.
Any immediate guidance or corrective measures from Teltonika technical professionals would be highly appreciated.
Here are the current settings:
Kind Regards,
Doruk
