We have multiple FMC230 deployed in our gensets. Each FMC230 has a local sim card with data and sms subscription.
Now, we want to check the status and location of these gensets using our mobile phone via SMS.
When we send below SMS commands (with 2 spaces before the command):
getinfo
getstatus
getgps
we did not receive any response. there is no login and password configured for SMS. also, the sim cards have sms subscription.
Anyone encounter this issue? how did you resolve this?
The device should receive SMS commands if the SIM card has an active SMS subscription.
To confirm whether the device is receiving SMS messages, open the Status tab in Teltonika Configurator and check the GSM Info section. Note the Received SMS count, send an SMS command to the device, and check whether the count increases.
If the Received SMS count does not increase, the SIM card is not receiving the SMS.
If the Received SMS count increases but the Outbound SMS count remains unchanged, the SMS MO service may not be enabled on the SIM card, or the sender’s number may not be included in the authorised numbers under SMS/Call Settings.
