I’m having an issue with a brand new FMC003. I bought it to get LTE/4G connectivity, but it never attaches to 4G and always stays on 2G/GPRS instead. I’m in France so there are 4G antennas pretty much everywhere.
For context, I used to run an FMB003 before, and I wanted to upgrade to the FMC003 for 4G support.
I have already tested:
- 3 different operators (Bouygues Telecom, Free Mobile & Orange / Sosh)
- multiple SIM cards
- firmware update to the latest version
- several APN settings
- different GPRS authentication modes
No matter what I try, the device never registers on LTE. It works in 2G, but that’s not what I need.
Has anyone seen this behavior before? Could this be a hardware / modem / band compatibility issue, or is there something else I should check? Is there a specific setting in Teltonika Configurator to “activate” 4G?
