FMB930 used on a fleet of E-bikes

We are implementing a e-bike booking service, using the FMB930 as simple tracker (no locking functions). The device is connected to power supply only when the vehicle is switched on. When the ebike is switched off the tracker goes soon off (in about less than 1 hour). My questions are:

  1. is there a configuration optimized for low consumption (a part sleep / deep sleep modes)? I mean: is it possibile to extend significantly its working time when not in charge by reducing the pace of data flow, their quality/quantity or other solutions that kind?
  2. the platform can’t see a tracker time by time even when powered. What could be the reason? The tracker is inserted into the aluminum frame of the ebike close to the handlebar, would it be possibile that that specific location would impede the data transmission? Would it be possibile to connect external antenna to verify it?

I would be very grateful to anybody could give me some hints!

Hello @marcoron
Good day!

To extend the battery life, you can use one of the sleep mode settings in the device (deep sleep)
More information is in the link:FMC920 Sleep modes - Teltonika Telematics Wiki

For the second part, as it seems that the device is losing the connection to the server, this could be a configuration issue, a network and coverage issue, or a server load issue.
