Hello Teltonika Support Team,
I have an FMB920 device that I purchased in Iran and I am currently using it there.
I installed my own Traccar server on a personal VDS server and configured the FMB920 to connect to my server.
The APN settings, server address, and port configuration have been checked and appear to be correct. However, the device does not send any records to the server, and Traccar always shows the device as offline.
I have attached screenshots from Teltonika Configurator showing the device configuration and status information.
I have already checked:
- SIM card and mobile data connection
- APN configuration
- Server IP address and port
- Traccar configuration
- Device parameters
The device can be connected to and configured using Teltonika Configurator, but no data packets are received by Traccar.
Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue?
I would like to know:
- How can I verify if the device successfully connects to the GSM/GPRS network?
- How can I check whether the device is trying to establish a connection with my server?
- Could this issue be related to firmware version or a known firmware bug?
- Do you need any additional logs or diagnostic files from the device?
I can provide Traccar logs, firmware information, and any other required details.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
As per the screenshot shared, I can see that the device has a valid GPRS connection and has established a connection with the server. The Sent Bytes value also indicates that the device has transmitted a few data packets.
However, it appears that the server may not be accepting the incoming connection or sending an acknowledgement back to the device. In such a case, the device will stop sending further data packets until it receives a valid response from the server.
Please go to the GPRS tab and, under Record Settings , set the Record Type to TCP/IP . Also, ensure that your server is accepting the incoming connection and sending the required acknowledgement (ACK) back to the device, as described in the documentation provided in the link below.
Thank you for your reply.
I have another question regarding this restriction.
Based on my device’s symptoms, could you please confirm whether my FMB920 has already been blocked by the Country Blocking Service?
If it is blocked, is there any official way to unblock it without taking the device outside Iran?
Also, is there any official service procedure or recovery method that allows downgrading the device to a firmware version that does not include the Country Blocking feature (firmware versions prior to 3.7.0)?
If downgrading is not possible, could you please explain whether this limitation is enforced by the bootloader/hardware or only by the firmware itself?
Thank you for your time and support.
