FMB920 - Basic questions

Hello!

So i’m very sorry if these are basic questions! but I just want to get a bit of assistance. I’ve hunted through the manuals and not finding what I need.

1 - Wiring - At the moment my tracker is wired with the ignition and perm tracker wires connected to a ignition source so the tracker only turns on when ignition is on. Now this is no good now i think back - if the car gets stolen then the tracker is off. If i was to wire correctly is it possible to “wake” the tracker in the event of car theft. Let’s say its put on the back of a wagon etc?

2 - Is there anyway i can set the tracker up to essentially disable the fuel pump via an sms command? i know i could use DOUT1 to a relay and then a fuel pump etc. But i cannot see anything in the config/nor documentation to how would I actually trigger this? more so again if the ignition is off would the tracker acknowledge the command?

Any help appreciated

for anyone looking

you send an sms saying setdigout 1

if you have a username and password its username + password + setdigout 1

Example

ben passw0rd setdigout1

Hello @fabio1605,

Welcome to the Teltonika Community Forum!

We recommend connecting the FMB920 device directly to the power supply so even if vehicle Ignition is OFF, you may still receive and send commands to the device either SMS/GPRS commands.

Meanwhile, you may access the full information about activating the device’s digital Output through this link: FMB setdigout - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS

Note that you need to follow the structure of the command as mentioned below.

If Authentication is set:
If no Authentication is set:

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Patrick
