FMB920 Analog Input AIN1 for external Alarmsystem

I am currently planning an alarm system for my vehicle and have come across the TELTONIKA FMB920 module.

I will be using an Ampire alarm system for the windows/door and Can-Bus monitoring.

I would like to solve the SMS and GPS alarms with the FMB920 module. My idea is to address the Analog Input Channel AIN1 of the Ampire alarm system so that an alarm SMS is triggered.

Unfortunately, I can’t find any documentation on whether the input is possible for this scenario?

Maybe you can help me here?

Hello,

Good day!

Could you please provide further clarification for this scenario so I can assist you in a better way?

Kind regards,

Amalnath.

Hello Amalnath,

Thank you for your reply.

The Ampire alarm system monitors all doors and windows.
In the event of an alarm, the system can output a 12V signal, whereupon the FMB920 module should send an SMS/alarm.
Can the FMB920 module send an SMS message in the event of a 12V signal on the AIN input channel?

Many thanks and best regards
Philipp

Hi Philipp,

Thank you for your inquiry and for providing more details about your requirements.

Yes, the FMB920 module is capable of sending an SMS message in response to a 12V signal on the AIN input channel. You can configure the FMB920 to trigger an SMS alarm based on specific input conditions, such as voltage levels detected on the AIN input channel.

To achieve this functionality, you’ll need to set up the appropriate event-based rules and configurations within the FMB920’s settings. Once configured, the device will be able to detect the 12V signal from your Ampire alarm system and trigger the sending of an SMS message accordingly.

If you require assistance with the setup or have any further questions about configuring the FMB920 module to meet your specific needs, please feel free to reach out to us.

Sounds soooo good. Thank you for explaining.
I will order the module and test.

I hope my answer is helpful to you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you,

kind regards.

Hi Amalnath,

thank you so much for help.
I checked all documentation, but I’m not sure doing the correct config.

Which setup would you recommend on 12 V Input.
I would start an event after 1second 12V.
Do I have to set the Voltage?
Which Event-ID should I take to the sms-Event. 50180 or the “High Level” ID 50182 or the “On Entrance” ID 50181?

Could you please write me the correct config parameters on I/O page?
Thank you soooo much for help.
