I have a fleet of about 50 vehicles that use FMB420 and FMB641 devices. The issue I’m having is with the new FMB641 units — they’re having trouble reading the driver’s ID code during driver login.
To be clear, many drivers leave their identification magnet (iButton) attached throughout the day and don’t remove or reattach it at the end or beginning of each trip. The FMB420 devices work perfectly and I have no issues with them. However, with the FMB641, the reader detects the driver correctly for 3–4 trips, then stops recognizing them for several days, only to detect them again a few times later — and this keeps repeating.
Is it possible to configure the Teltonika device to read the driver’s code every time the vehicle is started on the FMB641 units? And why does this issue happen in the first place? Could it be a voltage problem? Everything works fine in the test environment.
