FMB003 FW 04.02.00 Rev.602 - Hyundai Kona EV OEM battery parameters available in Configurator but not exported to AVL records

FMB003 (FW 04.02.00 Rev.602) connected to a Hyundai Kona Electric 39 kWh (2020) correctly reads all OEM EV parameters in Configurator (VIN, SOC, SOH, HV voltage/current, battery temperature, measured energy, remaining range and OEM odometer). However, these parameters are not exported into AVL records or transmitted to the server. Only standard parameters (GPS, ignition, movement, external voltage, VIN and vehicle mileage) are present. After updating to FW 04.02.00 Rev.602, OEM odometer started being exported correctly, but battery-related OEM parameters (AVL IDs 410, 411, 755, 1151, 1152, 1380, 1381, 1383) are still missing. OBD parameters are configured with High priority, Event Only = No, OBD IO Sending Options tested, OEM Reset, Configuration Reset and multiple drive cycles performed. Raw AVL records confirm these IDs are not present, so the issue appears to occur during OEM-to-AVL encoding. Is this a known limitation/bug, or is any additional configuration required to enable export of OEM EV parameters into AVL records?

Good Day,

Some newer EV models may experience issues with OEM parameter transmission when Automatic VIN Detection is enabled.

Kindly change the VIN detection mode to Manual VIN and enter the vehicle VIN manually. Once the VIN has been entered, switch the vehicle ignition on and send the following command:

oemreset

This will allow the device to download the latest OBD configuration file through FOTA WEB.

After completing these steps, please test the device again and confirm whether the OEM parameters are being received correctly.

Thanks, and best regards,

Imran S.
