We manufacture the EC-19521 PIN keypad at Tracking Hardware UK, and questions about pairing it with Teltonika trackers come up regularly (most recently in a now-closed thread about an FMB130 reading nothing from the keypad), so here is the complete setup and troubleshooting guide in one place.
Wiring
- Yellow: vehicle power, 8-36V (12V and 24V both fine, reverse-polarity protected)
- Brown: ground - must share the same ground point as the tracker
- White: 1-Wire data, to the FMB130’s 1-Wire DATA pin (check the FMB130 wiki pinout - it is easy to land this on a regular DIN by mistake)
- Green (optional): to a tracker DOUT for buzzer confirmation
- Grey (optional): backlight trigger from the door circuit
How it behaves
The keypad emulates a Dallas iButton. Nothing is transmitted until the driver enters a PIN and presses *. So it will not appear as a constantly-connected device in the configurator. To test: open Status, watch the iButton field, key in a PIN and press * - the ID appears at that moment.
If the tracker reads nothing, check in this order:
- Keypad has power - no backlight or beep on key press means no power
- Common ground between keypad and tracker
- White wire on the correct 1-Wire pin
- A complete PIN + * was entered during the test
- Latest firmware, and iButton / Driver ID enabled in the configuration
Keep cable runs short - the standard lead is 150 cm and 10 m is the protocol ceiling.

As mentioned in the previous closed ticket, the recommended 1-Wire wiring connection is correct:
- Yellow: Vehicle power supply (8–36 VDC; compatible with both 12 V and 24 V systems, reverse-polarity protected)
- Brown: Ground – must be connected to the same ground point as the FMB130 tracker
- White: 1-Wire Data – connect to the FMB130 1-Wire DATA pin (Pin 11 – Green wire). Please verify the pinout in the FMB130 Wiki, as it is easy to accidentally connect it to a regular DIN input instead.
If the tracker is not reading any data, please perform the following checks in order:
- Verify that the keypad is powered on. If there is no backlight or beep when a key is pressed, the keypad is likely not receiving power.
- Ensure the keypad and the tracker share a common ground.
- Confirm that the white wire is connected to the correct 1-Wire DATA pin.
- During testing, make sure a complete PIN followed by the
* key is entered.
- Update the tracker to the latest firmware and ensure that iButton/Driver ID is enabled in the device configuration.
If you are still not receiving data in AVL ID 78 (iButton ID) after enabling the iButton IO element, please verify whether the EC-19521 PIN keypad is configured to communicate using the 1-Wire protocol.
If possible, we also recommend testing the same keypad with another compatible Teltonika device. If the keypad is functioning correctly and supports the 1-Wire protocol, the data should be received successfully.
