Critical Charging Instability (Start/Stop Cycle every 15s)

I am experiencing a critical charging instability issue with a newly installed TeltoCharge station (FW: v1.14.7) that features a factory-installed charging cable.

The vehicle is a Tesla, and the charging session repeatedly starts and stops every 15-16 seconds, making charging impossible.

Symptom: The charging cycle is unstable. The log shows a recurring pattern: Start charging followed by Charging done approximately 15 seconds later.

Can it be due to defective factory-installed charging cable or an issue with the internal CP controller/circuit board?

    • Example Log Entry:

      • 2025-11-16T11:22:57+02:00 Start charging

      • 2025-11-16T11:23:12+02:00 Charging done (15 seconds)

  • Log Data: The TS Log repeatedly cites the charging limit factor as the cable, indicating a communication issue with the Control Pilot (CP) signal:

    • Current limit cause cable

    • CP duty cycle 27 % (Indicates the charger is attempting to offer approx. 17.8 A, but fails to maintain the connection)

Hi,

Welcome to the community! If you’re using a cabled version in that case is it possible to remove protective DC lid below the AC port before inserting the charger. I’m assuming the connection is at fault here.

Hello, do you me to take off this lid and check the connections of charging cable? Visually it all looks ok.
