Avoid vehicle battery drain

Hi. I just purchased a Teltonika fmb920. I may not use my vehicle for a long period of time, so with previous GPS trackers what I did is I connected GND to ignition to avoid vehicle battery drain when not using the vehicle. Is this also recommended with your device? I’m fine with it not tracking data when not in use.

Is there an alternative, like a way to stop the device if no ignition and the built-in lipo battery is dead?

Thank you.

Is this forum dead?
