ATC700 Says it supports TLS but I cannot fin it in TCT

Hi all,

I’m trying to get TLS working on a Teltonika ATC700 and I’m a bit confused by the firmware situation.

The tracker is currently running:

Main firmware: 3.20.0-rc.1+7.exp.autonomous
DTB: ATC700_21_182_15.3.3

Teltonika documentation says the ATC700 supports TLS/DTLS, but in TCT under Server Settings I only have Domain, Port and Data Protocol (TCP/UDP). There is no Encryption/TLS option and nowhere to upload a CA certificate.

It looks like TLS was added in the 3.7.x FT firmware branch, while the current recommended ATC700 firmware is the separate 3.20 autonomous branch.

Has anyone actually got TLS working on an ATC700? If so, what firmware version are you using, and is there a safe ATC700_21 compatible 3.7.x firmware available?

I have the exact same problem. Unbelievable.

Our architecture requires all tracker-to-server communication over the public mobile network to use TLS. Other Teltonika devices can be integrated into this architecture, but on the ATC700 there is no TLS/DTLS setting or parameter 2020.

The ATC700 was selected specifically as a hidden backup tracker for asset theft and recovery, so transmitting location and asset telemetry unencrypted over a public mobile network is not acceptable.

The lack of TLS support effectively prevents us from deploying the ATC700 in production. This is particularly disappointing because TLS/DTLS support exists elsewhere in the Teltonika product/firmware ecosystem, so I had expected the ATC700 to support the same secure server connectivity.

I would appreciate it if this could be escalated to the ATC700 firmware/product team and if Teltonika could provide a practical short-term path forward.

The TLS Feature is currently being developed for the ATx700 and will be released in the upcoming firmware versions.

It is good to know that TLS support for the ATx700 is currently being developed. However, the most important question is when this functionality is expected to become available.

Could you please clarify:

  • In which firmware version TLS support is expected to be introduced,
  • The expected release date or release window for that firmware,
  • Whether a beta, release-candidate or development firmware with TLS support may become available earlier.

If possible, please check this with the ATx700 firmware or product team and provide the most specific release estimate currently available.
