Assistance Needed for API Connection to FMC650 and FMC003 Devices

Hello,

I would like to connect to the FMC650 and FMC003 devices via API to retrieve information such as fuel levels, without relying on a platform interface. I attempted to use RMS to add the devices and generate a token, but I couldn’t locate either of these models in the system.

Could you please guide me on how to connect these devices to an API and access their data? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Amro

Hello,

If you want to connect FMB device to your platform please integratedour codec protocol: Codec - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS

If you want to build your own server: Help with Server FAQ - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS
If you want to use Fleet management platform: Fleet Management platforms - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS

For RMS integration kindly check with the networks team.

To understand this well, is this to manage your trackers away from Fotaweb, on your own server?

As I’m reading documentation, it seems to be possible to manage trackers with the here proposed opensource server “openremote” OpenRemote with Fleet Management (FM) - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS, correct?

I need a “middle man” application, and prefer not to give api access to Fotaweb, in orde to manage FMC650 trackers, just to toggle on/off gps data is sent or not.

Is this a correct analysis? Using this openremote.io to send commands to FMC650 devices through this API?

Hi @vanbernaert

FOTAWEB is used by FMB telematics device to manage the device remotely like update the firmware, configuration etc.

Wiki: FOTA WEB - Wiki Knowledge Base | Teltonika GPS (teltonika-gps.com)

Open Remote is a Fleet management system where you can connect the FMB device to see the tracks and other IoT Functionalities.

To know more about open remote you can contact them directly through their support.

For sending the commands we are using codec 12, I believe that they already integrated codec 12 in their platform to send commands to the device.
