Could you please reattach the screenshots, as they are not visible in your initial message?
Additionally, during our phone conversation you mentioned that you would like to access your motorhome and monitor its dashboard remotely. Could you please confirm whether the device responsible for this functionality is connected to the same network as the router that is managed via RMS? If it is, could you please clarify the exact model of that device?
This information will help me better understand your setup and assist you more effectively.
I’m hoping to be of help here. I assume we are talking about a Concorde Centurion system aboard the RV to read energy levels, temperature, and many other things.
How did you connect to the Centurion system when you were in the RV, making the Centurion screen appear on your laptop? Through wifi, or USB cable?
The only way this is going to work is if you can make the Centurion system connect to the Teltonika router, either via wifi or UTP network cable.
I am pretty sure the RMS credit or wether the Roam Maxview Router has a RMS connection is not relevant. I’ll try to break it down:
The Roam Maxview Router does have an internet connection through it’s SIM card, otherwise your RMS portal (your first screenshot) would not show it online.
but the question is if the Centurion system in the RV has a connection to the wifi access point (or a LAN port via a network cable) in the Roam Maxview router, and wether the Centurion system can reach the internet through it.
i can’t find information on the internet how remote access to the Centurion system works technically, but if you were able previously to get the Centurion screen on your laptop or phone while not connected to the wifi access point in the RV, then remote access was working. If thats the case, it’s a matter of getting the Centurion system in the RV connected again to the Roam Maxview Router, for that you wil l have to be present in the RV. My guess is you can log in to the Centurion system through a wifi access point the Centurion system presents you, in which hopefully you can enter the wifi details of the Maxview router.
To add: the picture showing W-ifi connection lost is a picture trying to open the Maxview Roam App while your phone is not connected to the Roamview wifi network, that app will only work when you are in the RV connected to the wifi network the Roamview provides.
strike my remark about RMS not needed, your screenshots show you (try to) gain remote access through RMS so its needed.
the black box marked 192.168.0.100 is the ‘gateway’ to your Centurion system , its connected through the Maxroam router via a network cable (the bottom left ribbed plug).
i’m not sure if i should take the Remaining Data: 0B seriously, if so the simple fact is you have run out of data, or there is a data limit set in the Maxview router which is reached. Could either be the case?
Addition: that bottom left ribbed plug on the box marked 192.168.0.100 seems a bit low, maybe it has dropped out. Can you push it up? If you hear ‘click’ we have found the cause
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 18354.
I have filled the form out with my email address but I also have filled the user name as my email address but I have just realised I created a new user name which is Concorde GT sorry for the confusion
Hi PW here: you need a data balance on your EE sim card to let the Maxview Roam connect to the mobile network and RMS in order for you to view the Centurion system on your phone or laptop (wether you are in the RV or not). You could switch the EE sim card temporarely for another one (ie from your phone) to check if that solves it.
But if the RMS portal still says the device is connected like in your first picture i would assume you still have data left, otherwise it wouldn’t be connected.
For your understanding here is a diagram how its all connected. What Villus can do is check wether your Maxview Roam is reachable from the internet and if data traffic from the Centurion system makes it through the Maxview Roam router to the internet and back.
So I have sent you the form completed, for an update I have been informed the possible problem is the sim I have in the router is NOT a statis sim just a normal one, and possibly to resolve I need a static sim in the router, some suggest use a Starlink as an interface, also A VPN but I have no idea, in the UK static sims are not available. Your assistance in resolving would be much appreciated I have been trying to resolve remote access for nearly 6 x months now
There’s no reason why you can’t get it to work with your existing domestic retail SIM and the RUTX50 in your camper; there are a number of possible solutions either at zero cost or a small cost per annum. These solutions employ a VPN used in conjunction with a ‘VPN Relay Service’, such as Zerotier or Tailscale. RMS Connect will also address your issue. I use Zerotier mostly but on occassions, also RMS to access devices behind my Teltonika routers.
Forget about Starlink as the economics don’t stand up to close scrutiny, for what you’re trying to achieve.
I am very surprised a problem with the sim in the Maxview Roam Router is suggested as the cause, because you can reach the Teltonika RMS site and it says that the device 192.168.0.100 is reachable. So there is a mobile connection to the internet from the Maxview Roam Router, that means the sim is working.
If you are in the RV, and you are connected to the Maxview Roam Router wifi network, does typing 192.168.0.100 in the internet browser lead you to the Centurion system?. By checking this so-called local access we can at least determine wether the Centurion system is still working correctly.
If https://192.168.0.100 while in the RV does bring up the Centurion system, the culprint is in the Maxview Roam Router configuration.
I have sent you and additional email to the mailbox that is associated with your forum account from a different mailbox. Could you please check and confirm if you received the email?
