Newbie here. We have a number of remote PLCs connected to RUT240s / RUT950s. Remote access via PLC programming software for debugging seems to be hit and miss.
VPN Hubs appear to be set up correctly (this does work some time) but I’m wondering if I’m missing something in the configuration. Setups are all pretty standard with VPN configured and Routes set up. Sometimes I can connect straight away, other times there’s no connection even though I can ping the PLCs. The port number used is 25425.
You can check the device logs to look for any entries related to the VPN, which may help identify the cause of these issues. To do so, follow these steps:
Go to the RMS web page and navigate to the left sidebar panel.
Under Management → Devices, select a device.
Press on Actions and select Export Troubleshoot.
In the troubleshoot, you will find a file named System.log, which contains all the logs from the device.
