Unresponsive TRB246

We have an unresponsive TRB246, running firmware TRB2M_R_00.07.21.3, in a remote location. The web GUI is not available, no communications, no response to SMS (iostatus, reboot) and periodic reboots, previously happening every 12 hours, do not seem to be working any more. We can not discard a problem with the power input line yet, but I wanted to know if this modem has a hardware watchdog, rebooting the device when the system becomes unresponsive, and if it’s enabled by default or not.

We are planning to go and manually reboot the whole system, but I want to know what to do next, to avoid this kind of situations in the future.

This situation might be aligned with a sudden rise on the power voltage, from 26V to 28.5 V. I’ve been assuming that the input voltage was allowed to fluctuate below 30 V but I wonder if this might be the source of the problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The modem is finally dead. No LED’s blinking any more. We’ are trying to understand what happened. The rest of the electronic devices (Modbus slaves), being powered from the same battery line, are still alive. This leads me to the following questions:

  1. Is there an on-board fuse that we can try to replace?
  2. Does the TRB246 provide some kind of ESD protection against spikes on the power lines?
  3. Any hardware watchdog rebooting the modem in case of system halt?

Thanks again.
