Unable Log in after factory firmware reset

Issue after firmware update on RUTC50 – Partial reset

Hi,

I updated my RUTC50 to firmware version RUTC_R_00.07.12.3 (2025.02.14). After rebooting, I was unable to log in with my usual password.

I performed a firmware reset to restore factory settings, but the reset only seems to have been partial: the Wi-Fi settings were reset, but the router login password does not match the one printed on the device’s label.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a way to ensure a full reset or recover access without needing a manual reflash?

Thanks!

Hello @Robalo,

When performing a factory reset, did you hold the reset button pressed for at least 14 seconds?

Additionally, if the router remains inaccessible even after a factory reset, another method to restore access is by performing a firmware upgrade using the Bootloader menu. You can find step-by-step instructions for this process here: RUTC50 Bootloader menu.

Please let me know how it goes or if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

Thank you very much, it was a great help
