I have just recovered my legacy RUT950 via the bootloader procedure. Now I need a new bootloader. Where can I get this?
Hello,
Could you please confirm whether you have tried accessing the bootloader menu and updating the firmware via 192.168.1.1/index.html?
Best regards,
Yes, that was done when I recovered it from the boot loop it had. The bootloader was not updated
Could you please confirm if you have accessed the 192.168.1.1/index.html page to upload the device firmware file? The firmware can be downloaded here.
If yes, could you specify which firmware version you uploaded via the bootloader menu? Was it the latest one (RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5) or a different version?
After updating the firmware, did the device update successfully, or did you encounter any errors? If there were errors, do you have any screenshots of them?
Best regards,
Yes, it was downloaded to the device via 192.168.1.1/index.html and yes it was the latest legacy version. The update was sucessful from version 00.01.Something
If the update was successful, there should be no need to update the bootloader version, even if you see a notification about it in the WebUI.
You can try updating the device to the latest RutOS firmware available for it (version 7.06.17). You can download it here: RutOS Firmware Downloads. However, please note that RUT9_R_00.07.00 and above are not supported on legacy-design RUT950*G1*** devices.
Let me know if you have any further questions or need assistance with this.
Best regards,
So there is no way for me to get the bootloader file to upgrade it?
Hello,
Unfortunately, there is no need to update the bootloader if it is functioning as expected.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
