I have got a subnet A 192.168.1.0/24 and a subnet B 192.168.100.0/24. On A there is a NAS media server on B there is a client (Philips TV). A and B are connected via Wireguard. Wireguard works perfectly. I want to stream DNLA content from NAS Media server A to client on B. SSDP and IGMP work per subnet, i.e. Not accross subnets. Is it enough to install the IGMP proxy and opening firewall ports for handling all DNLA protocols or do I have to take care for something else?
Could you please share your network topology, including IP addresses?
The configuration will likely require more than simply installing the proxy and opening ports. Having the full topology in advance will allow us to properly review and test the setup on our side.
I have this similar set up for my home lab and it works.
I have XR1 and OMV(openmediavault) on a separate Linux box hosting Wireguard as a Server as well as MiniDLNA added services within OMV. All on same subnet 192.168.1.X
On my iPhone or any other smart devices i use Wireguard client and I am able to connect to the NAS. simple setup really.
