TRB500 - no internet on LAN port

I have set up TRB500 and changed lan IP range to 192.168.1.0/24

After that I plugged in a laptop and WAN over LTE worked fine. Then I plugged in my Ubiquiti UDM-Pro via WAN1 port with DHCP settings. TRB500 assigns IP and I can ping TRB500 from UDM-Pro and also reach the admin web interface of the TRB500. But when I force my traceroute to use TRB500 for 1.1.1.1 all I get is:

root@R-DMP:~# traceroute -i eth8 1.1.1.1
traceroute to 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets

Hello,

Does the Ubiquiti machine reach the internet when the default LAN IP of the TRB5 (192.168.2.0/24) is being used?
Have you tried configuring the TRB500 in Bridge mode? This can be done by navigating to Network → Interfaces → General, editing the mob1s1a1 interface, and changing the mode from NAT to Bridge.
This will cause the TRB500 to forward the IP address received on the mobile interface to the first connected LAN client. This way you’ll avoid double-NAT. However, just a heads-up, the router itself will not have access to the internet, so services like ping reboot or RMS will not work. If they are necessary, check out Passthrough mode.

Best regards,

Hello,

the UDM-Pro offers an IP range of 192.168.2.0/24 itself, so that would not work.
I changed the WAN interface to Passthrough mode and the UDM-Pro gets assigned the public IP address, however now I cannot reach the web interface of the TRB500 anymore and I still can’t ping 1.1.1.1

So no good news so far.

To reach the TRB500 you’ll need to add a static route on the UDM. The route should be to 192.168.1.0/24 via the mobile IP addresses assigned to the UDM TRB500 WAN interface.
However, if the laptop does have the internet access when connected to the TRB, I’d dig deeper into the firewall settings of the UDM, as we’ve had other customers successfully using TRB devices with Ubiquiti hardware.
Perhaps you could perform packet capture on the eth8 interface of UDM and post the output here (with the sensitive information removed)?

Best regards,
