Hello,
we have recently encountered an issue with certain Teltonika TRB141 devices. We use the isolated input (pins 16–8), and from time to time it gets stuck in a HIGH level state. The only way to recover is by restarting the device – nothing else helps. This happens on both FW versions 14.3 and 16.3.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Thanks in advance.
(P.S. The switching frequency is about once per minute.)
Would I be safe to assume that you have a fleet of devices and only some of them are experiencing this issue? If that’s the case, could you tell me whether the wiring / configurations are the exact same for each and every single one of the devices?
I believe that this issue could derive more from the physical side, rather than the configuration (assuming it’s all the same on each device).
Thank you for the quick response.
We have many TRB141 devices, and so far this issue has only appeared on two units with the following serial numbers: redacted
Wiring diagram:
We are using the GPIO header.
Power supply is the standard +24 VDC between pins 9 and 10.
The isolated input uses the same voltage level for GND, i.e., pins 16 and 6 are connected together.
The digital input is connected to pin 8.
The environment has a good LTE signal quality (-80 … -65 dBm).
On edge changes, we use a custom script to send an HTTP request via curl (with a 5-second timeout).
I would also like to point out that in RMS (WebUI), when I go to Services > Status > I/O, the isolated input is constantly shown as High Level, even though the external device is actually changing its state.
One more observation: this issue started occurring after switching to Event Juggler. I switched to Event Juggler because of the deprecation notice regarding I/O Juggler.
