TRB140 Switching off ethernet

Hi, trying to minimize the power consumption of TRB140 modules.

I could shut down the Ethernet-connection and switch it on while transmitting data.

My idea is to switch on the ethernet with one of the two IOs when data needs to be transmitted.

Is that possible?

Good afternoon,

The TRB140 does feature a programmable Input/Output (I/O) pin accessible via the 4-pin power connector, which can be configured as either a digital input or an open collector (OC) output.

However, the TRB140 does not natively support enabling or disabling the Ethernet port via its I/O pins. The Ethernet interface is designed to be continuously active when the device is powered. While the I/O pin can be used for various control and monitoring purposes, directly controlling the power state of the Ethernet port through this method is not supported.
An external solution, or a custom script may be viable for this configuration, however we have not tested our device for such circumstances.

Arturas
