In May this year I complained about the problems I had trying to get the RUTX50 to connect to the KPN network in the Netherlands. This was caused by a non-standard implementation of the 5G network in Holland. When I was in France the same setup worked great withe the original data SIM from KPN. When I traveled home in June the RUTX50 again didn’t work. However, now there is an update for the internal modem.
In the description for the update it is pointed out that 5 G must be disabled first. However you have to choose 4G only otherwise the modem will not connect and is not able to update. 3G+4G is not working.
After the update everything seems fine and now, at last, I’m a happy camper!
