Hi,
I have a problem connecting my router to RMS.
I found out that the router RUT955 LTE has a duplicate lan mac address with other router which i already have it in RMS.
On our routers we have firmware version which is last supported for that and this is :
Has anyone had this problem and maybe knows how to solve it?

Hello,
Please check if your other router has a Management Pack or Management Data assigned to it in RMS .
If nothing is assigned, you can safely delete (unregister) it from RMS.
After that, register both devices again using their correct credentials.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Best regards,
Hi Maria,
i have one router already in RMS and i have assigned management pack to it.
SERIAL1,LAN_MAC1,PWD
The router which i want to add to RMS has same LAN_MAC as my router which is already in RMS.
SERIAL2,LAN_MAC1,PWD
If i delete first router from RMS and add second router to RMS this works.
But i must have both of my routers in RMS.
Do you have any idea how to solve this ?
Best Regards,
David
Hi,
when i try to add the second router to RMS i get this message in RMS :
Validating list…
Device with LAN_MAC_1 at line 1 could not be added. Please contact support for more information

Hello,
Could you please update your RUT955 to the latest firmware version? You can download it from the following link:
RUT955 Firmware Downloads
After completing the update, please let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Hi,
as i said we have the latest firmware version supported for that device.
FW version RUT9_R_00.07.00 and above will not be supported on legacy-design (RUT955 7V **) devices

Hello,
Apologies for missing that.
Your devices cannot share the same LAN MAC address, as each MAC address must be unique for every device. This should allow you to add both routers to RMS without any issues.
If by any chance both devices are showing the same MAC address, please let me know, and I’ll contact you privately regarding this.
Best regards,
Hi,
yes i known that but they are not in the same LAN network.
Therefore, this is not so important for the operation of the devices themselves.
Both devices use the same mac on LAN :
In System → Admin → RMS :
DEVICE1 :
…
Lan MAC : MAC1
…
DEVICE2 :
…
LAN MAC : MAC1
…
Best Regards,
David

Could you please check the back panels of both devices or their boxes for the LAN MAC address and let me know if they are the same or different?
Best regards,
Hi,
I can do that next week because this is on the different remote locations.
Best Regards,
David
