TAT100 not sending location, waiting for GPS

I am experiencing a problem where the TAT100 devices aren’t sending their locations because it seems like it is waiting for a GPs lock.

Is there a way to send the information irrelevant of the GPS accuracy ? or to bypass that wait ?

Hello @Mikethelever,

I hope you are doing well. Normally, the TAT100 GNSS module was OFF to conserve its battery.

However, you may force the device to activate its GNSS Module via the Configurator as per the screenshot below.

Moreover, if you just want to receive a record on the device even without any GPS fix just to check if the device could connect to your server then you may activate the Test Connection under the GPRS Tab.

I hope this helps.

thanks Patrick, appreciate the prompt feedback !

Is there a config change that I can make on the devices when they are in the field ? ie not just in the Configurator

Hello,

Yes, you can upload a configuration via FOTAWEB. reference: FOTA WEB Devices - Teltonika Telematics Wiki
YT: Tutorial of NEW FOTA WEB

Another way is to send an SMS command but make sure that the device is online.

Use the setparam command

thanks @Maynard can you confirm the field settings to enable that GNSS setting or the heartbeat every 4 hours to wakeup, try gather the information and send the feedback back ?
