Stateless IPv6 address autoconfiguration not woring

TSW202 doesn’t forward IPv6 Multicast ff02::1 betwen ethernet ports.

This essential for ipv6 auto addressing! But not working with Teltonika.

The Product code is TSW20200XXXX with firmware version TSW2_R_00.01.06.3.

Reproduce

SFP1 Uplink with ra server

port2 PLC with stateless IPv6 address autoconfiguration

root@TSW202:~# tcpdump -n -i sfp1 icmp6 and ip6[40] == 134 and host ff02::1
12:40:35.835731 IP6 fe80::20d:b9ff:fe00:1 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement, length 168
12:41:48.547835 IP6 fe80::20d:b9ff:fe00:1 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement, length 168

root@TSW202:~# tcpdump -n -i br0 icmp6 and ip6[40] == 134 and host ff02::1
12:44:17.875027 IP6 fe80::20d:b9ff:fe00:1 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement, length 168
12:44:25.675613 IP6 fe80::20d:b9ff:fe00:1 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement, length 168

root@TSW202:~# tcpdump -n -i br0.1 icmp6 and ip6[40] == 134 and host ff02::1
12:45:43.533498 IP6 fe80::20d:b9ff:fe00:1 > ff02::1: ICMP6, router advertisement, length 168

root@TSW202:~# tcpdump -n -i port2 icmp6 and ip6[40] == 134 and host ff02::1

BTW in firmware update mode with switch ip 192.168.1.2 ip6 ff02::1 forwarding is working.

Workaround: bring the switch in fw update mode. :frowning:

after firmware update TSW2_R_00.01.07.1_WEBUI.bin same issue.

Hello there, Just wondering if any progress has been made on this issue as I have come across a similar issue regarding Multicast IPv6.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi, any progress on the teltonika site? No?

That’s what I thought. That’s why I ported the model to openwrt 24.10.
