Setting up TRM240 mobile interface on RPi4 fails

Dear Teltonika Technical Support,
My TRM240 can connect to LTE network when it is connected to my Ubuntu 22.04 laptop with Gnome desktop. The procedure is quite easy since there is GUI illustration.

I then followed this official guide to set up my TRM240 mobile interface on a Raspberry Pi 4B computer but it failed.

The OS is the newest Rasp Pi OS Lite

System: 64-bit
Kernel version: 6.6
Debian version: 12 (bookworm)

This was the last few lines output from the ssh terminal after I issued command
sudo pppd call gprs &

send (AT^M)
expect (OK)
alarm
Failed
Script chat -s -v -f /etc/chatscripts/quectel-chat-connect -T my_apn finished (pid 1497), status = 0x3
Connect script failed

There was even no ppp0 interface when I issued command
ifconfig

Please help me to correct it.
