Hello,
for a remote site we are using an RUTX50 with SIM Card for Fallback. We need to buy a new pass every moth to use this mobile access. Whats the best way to automate this? Can I route a special Port (LAN 3 for example) everytime to mobile?
Hello,
Not sure I quite understand what you’re trying to ask. Could you elaborate more on the situation?
What kind of “pass” are you referring to?
Would also need some elaboration on this.

Sorry for the misunderstanding here. Its a datapass which needs to be renewed every month. But I figured it already out with the provider, they can provide an booking portal for the datapass.
With special Port I mean an dedicated port which routes every request to mobile data instead of WAN (which is active - if not fallback to mobile).
Hello,
The solution for your situation is the SIM Idle Protection feature. This feature allows the router to temporarily switch to the secondary (otherwise unused) SIM card and establish a data connection with the ISP.
You can download the SIM Idle Protection package from System → Package Manager by searching for SIM Idle Protection.
Additionally, further useful information regarding this feature can be found here.
Alternatively, you can write a custom script to periodically send pings from the qmimux0 interface to refresh the activity every now and then. When it comes to scripts, it is out of our scope, but we have guides that can help you get on track: User Scripts examples - Teltonika Networks Wiki
