RUTX50 wifi keeps dropping out

Hoping someone can suggest what is going wrong here. Every few minutes my 2.4G and 5G WiFi networks keep disconnecting and immediately reconnecting. Very very frustrating!

What firmware? What end devices do you have connected? Are these the default wifi interfaces, or ones you made yourself?

Firmware is 7.18.3 (most recent version).

Only have iPad and iPhones connected. Occasionally a laptop. TV connected by Ethernet cable.

Everything is default.

Thank you.

I recommend trying to change the 2.4Ghz (or 5Ghz, whichever one you use) channel that is being used. Head to Network > Wireless > Radios and change the channel from whatever it is now to, say, channel 6 or channel 11, or you could play around with other channels too.

If you have fast roaming enabled, disable that as well, as it could be trying to push your devices from one interface to another for whatever reasons. Some end-devices also have these power-saving options that kind of sleep the wifi service on them, which could cause disconnections too.

Have got the same issue with my router RUTX50.
I am on the latest available firmware 7.19.4

For my case it is solved, the password for my SSID_2G was changed to my login password!. This was not changed by me.
It was not change for SSID_5G

Could it be a bug in the latest firmware 7.19.4?

Hello,

Please let us know if further assistance is required, and I’ll assign an engineer to your case.

We haven’t noticed this issue on the latest firmware, is there any chance you migrated from a very old firmware version to the latest?

M.
