RUTX50 Sim Cyta mobile

I have recently purchased the RUTX50 for use in Cyprus.
I have an existing Cyta supplied ZTE 5G modem with a sim card for data. (works fine)
I also have a mobile phone with a sim card for the same + voice etc.(works fine)

If I put the mobile phone sim into the router it works good, however when I use the sim from the ZTE router, although it says its connected, I cannot get online.
The difference that I can see between the sims is the iphone sim has a pin number set, where as the data sim does not.

  • Product code RUTX5000XXXX
  • Bootloader version 2.3
  • Hardware revision 0202
  • Batch number 0018
  • Firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.07.3
  • Kernel version 5.10.210
  • Model RG501Q-EU
  • FW version RG501QEUAAR12A08M4G_04.200.04.200

This screen shot shows the sim from my iphone working fine

This screen shot show the data sim from the ZTE router

Even though I cannot connect to any website or do any DNS lookups online, I still get an IP address from the service provider

All settings are pretty much default
I have reloaded the firmware a few times and reset all config

Here is a screen shot from the ZTE which works fine

I would appreciate any help on this issue

Hi,

Some ISPs may restrict SIM cards to only work with their own equipment or a single endpoint device like a modem that doesn’t share its connection with other devices. I suggest contacting your internet provider to inquire about whether this SIM card or its plan can be used with personal devices.

Best regards,
