RUTX50 Private 5G problem

We have a strange problem.

We have multiple RUTX50 in our company and most of them are connecting to our Private 5G without issues (most settings on auto).

2 new recently bought ones don’t want to connect, even when trying to enforce the network and network settings.

For instance, our network is xxx05, but it always tries to connect to xxx02 (that network, additionally, on the list of networks is shown as forbidden). We created a list of networks (with our network only), and selected manually to connect only to that network.

We are using the same SIM card in both devices. Works in the older one, doesn’t work in the newer one.

So, first we tried to copy settings from the working device to the new one, and it didn’t help. We even put the firmware to be the same revision (7.12.3 in both cases now), and the newer device is still manifesting the same problem.

Resetting to factory settings and trying a new also didn’t help.

Please advise next steps.

From the 2 new RUTX50, we did retesting, one of them seems to work (with connecting to Private 5G); the other one doesn’t.

So, we might have a bricked one on our hands?

Hello,

We are currently working on your case and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi there,

Happy new years & apologies for the delayed answer. Could you please let us know whether the issue is still present and further support is required?

Regards,
M.

Happy New Year, as well.

The problem is still there.

I guess it is a very isolated case.

Best regards

Hi there, TomoR,

For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 16953.

Thank you,
M.

Hi, considering our Private 5G is currently shut down till 12th; and many people are on vacation; I will come back after the 12th with more details.

Sounds good!

Thank you for informing.

Our Network downtime was longer than expected; what information do you want from us in the ticket/form that you sent?
Pls, send me an e-mail with required information.

However, the RUTX50 we have problems with has R-NZ marking on it. The others don’t.

Hello,

For future reference - kindly follow the provided steps of filling out the form, as currently, your form is just the link to the thread, instead of being the actual ID I’ve mentioned at the end of my message.

As for the information, since you’ve just sent us the form, I still have yet to reply to it, but once I do, you’ll receive an e-mail to which you can then just simply reply with the requested details that I will ask of you.

Regards,
M.

OK, sorry for the confusion.

No worries at all, I’ve already sent you the e-mail, you should’ve received it.

Regards,
M.

Should I redo the previous link/form?

I have the troubleshoot files now.

Hello,

An email from me has already been sent to the email t*****.ri******@e*******.com

^ I’ve intentionally hid the e-mail, but you should be able to recognize whether it’s the correct one.

Simply reply to my e-mail with the requested details.

Thank you,
M.

The issue has been resolved by performing a bootloader reset on the device.

Regards,
M.
