RUTX12 Secondary Modem unreachable

my secondary modem is unreachable from a hardware perspective going by the error message which shows a banner that says
“Secondary modem is unreachable”. this is the beggining of the system log from the admin > troubleshooter.

the secondary sim card works in the primary slot, so there is no issue with the sim.

When i log into the CLI as admin from the webgui, after entering the correct password, it says (cant change directory to ‘/user’) and then session closes and disconnects. this unit is still under 2 years for warranty

Hello,

Please, try reinstalling the firmware via bootloader procedure as described here.

Also, could you connect to the device via CLI/SSH (instructions here), execute the following command and share the output?:

lsusb

i tried many times to get the router into bootloader mode. i cannot get all leds to flash, no matter how long i keep the reset button pressed after plugging in the power cable. i tried less than 4 seconds, and more than 5 seconds. all attempts i made started with the lan port i was connected to lighting up first

from system > cli
i get a login prompt
i enter admin and press enter, then it asks for Password
i enter the correct password and i imediately get "cant change directory to ‘/user’. Session closed
i never get an opportunity to input lsusb

Hello,

When connecting via CLI/SSH, please, use ‘root’ as the username instead of ‘admin’. The password will be the same password that you use to access WebUI.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it seems that there are issues with the second modem. I suggest contacting your designated sales manager or the reseller from whom you have purchased the device to initiate RMA procedure.
