RUTX11 latest firmware OpenVPN config upload missing authentication options

After updating to firmware RUTX_R_00.07.13.2, the OpenVPN GUI no longer provides fields for user/pass or client certificate authentication when uploading a .ovpn config that includes ‘auth-user-pass’.

This was previously available in older firmware versions. Uploading a config should allow users to complete the necessary authentication settings via the GUI. This issue currently prevents connection to servers requiring credentials.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to Services > VPN > OpenVPN
  2. Click ‘Add Instance’ and upload a .ovpn file with ‘auth-user-pass’
  3. Notice no prompt for credentials
  4. Attempt to start connection fails due to missing credentials

Model: RUTX11
Firmware: RUTX_R_00.07.13.2

Hello,

When uploading your .ovpn configuration, please ensure that the “Enable parsing” option is toggled on. After saving and pressing Edit you will find Authentication row, where you should select TLS/Password. This will allow you to enter your username and password in the Security configuration section.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any additional questions.

Best regards,
