The “Endpoint host” field in the peer configuration section appears to be mandatory even if the router is not the initiator of the tunnel.
One has to put something in the field which can be resolved (an IPv6 address for example) in order to be able to save the config. And then the router will try to send data packets to this bogus destination of course no reply will ever be received…
Workaround: enter something then manually delete the “option endpoint_host” line from /etc/config/network, and restart the network layer.
